When it comes to the realm of the bath walk in showers are undoubtedly the single most dominant fixture on the market; there are none, after all, that can surpass them for sheer efficiency and aptness of design, and we must thank whichever designer first put them together, whichever man first cobbled together two barrels thus allowing a certain amount of agency for future bathing technology developers.
There is no doubt that, especially compared to the bath tub, or the primitive system commonly referred to by the name “wet rooms”, the walk in shower system is by far, without any doubts whatsoever, the single greatest system ever pioneered. There is no other system that so efficiently combines convenience with ease of use, and the only way to improve on such a system would be with technologies that make the use of water nonessential – as clearly such technologies do not exist, the walk in system is currently as perfect as it can possibly be.
This perfection is of course not likely intentional, and rather is a happy accident of chance. However it is an accident that has persisted for decades, and capitalizing on it has made many men in the bathroom fixture industry rich and fat. If you would like to join them up there, it is a matter of carving out a niche in this preeminently superior demographic area. Alternately you could try to find a legitimate competitor to challenge the walk in shower for the crown, but finding one would be very unlikely.
Always remember that most people do not realize this dominance – they only realize that, hey, there’s a lot of showers around. The kings of the industry of course realize it, because it is the reason that they are the kings. Climbing up to those heights will take time and effort, but the riches in the running make such effort worth it – in fact, they make the bathroom market a market that is sadly neglected, but teeming with the potential for great wealth, especially for someone with the capital to enter at a running start.
